Gamejam provides a game swapping platform to enable gamers to swap console games with other members without having to pay for the profits of their local games exchange!
You can join Gamejam as either a Free or Premium member. Once registered, you are able to list as many of the games you own 'for swap' so that other users can make offers with games they own. Once you have agreed on a swap, you will simply send the game directly to the other user, and then, once you have received their game, leave feedback in the form of reputation points.
As a free member, users are entitled to swap an unlimited number of games without fees. This is a great way of avoiding paying for the profits of your local games exchange!
However, we recognise the fact that, due to the anonymous nature of the internet, some users may not be willing to send their games to another user on an unprotected basis. With this in mind, we have introduced our Premium membership.

All Premium members are able to purchase new games at cost price at our sister website www.gamejam.com. This is only available to Premium members (this way you can make your membership money back instantly!)

Premium members are able to swap from their own GameHut where they can add personal details, shipping information, featured games and custom categories if required.
The cost of the Premium membership is just £2.99 per month and you can sign-up directly from your members area.
As a free member, you are not covered by our SwapSafe protection, and so we ask you to exercise a degree of caution when it comes to sending games to other members (especially free members). Here are a few pointers to minimise risk:

Only send games to users who have positive reputations

If the other user has a lesser reputation than you, ask them to send their game first

Always send by recorded delivery (or another 'singed for' service)

Only send games to UK users
If you are worried about the risk of sending games, please consider upgrading to our Premium membership where you are protected by our SwapSafe insurance.
Both Free and Premium members are able to list an unlimited number of games for swap.
Currently, the service is restricted to UK members only, but we intend on widening this to Europe, Australia and the US over the next few months. Please watch this space!
Gamejam.com (www.gamejam.com ) is our sister site that allows Premium members to pre-order new console games at cost price. This service has been introduced as a means of enabling the Premium members to make back their membership fees (and sometimes, much more!) through games purchase savings.
This is a perk of being a Premium member and is not available to Free members. All orders are checked at the time that orders are despatched and any non-premium members will be refunded.
Finally, we aim to have all pre-ordered games shipped to Premium members on or before the official release date.
Gamehuts are available to Premium members only, and are a personal area where users can display their game listings, display their avatar/logo, and promote themselves with a personal profile.
Gamehuts are useful in providing members with an 'under one roof' area where they can also highlight preferences, shipping terms, and any other information they desire.
